OCCU has selected LucidTrust, an AI governance platform purpose-built for financial institutions, to support its enterprise AI governance and risk management program. The partnership gives OCCU a centralized system to inventory, monitor, and govern AI use across the credit union, from internally built assistants to third-party vendors introducing AI capabilities.
AI is reshaping financial services. Credit unions and banks are adopting internally developed assistants, machine learning models, and AI-enabled vendor software faster than governance frameworks can keep pace. That gap creates a new set of questions institutions must answer: where AI is being used, who owns it, how it is monitored, and how it aligns with regulatory expectations and internal risk practices.
"AI presents tremendous opportunities to better serve our members and improve operations, but it also requires thoughtful governance," said Matthew Wilson, SVP Risk & Administration at OCCU. "We wanted a partner and platform built specifically for the financial services industry that could help us establish visibility, accountability, and oversight as our AI program continues to evolve."
LucidTrust gives OCCU a centralized system to:
Inventory AI use across the enterprise
Govern AI use cases, models, and agents
Monitor third-party AI vendors on an ongoing basis for changes
"We're honored that OCCU selected LucidTrust to support its AI governance program," said Dominick Campagna, Founder & CEO of LucidTrust. "Financial institutions don't need less AI, they need better visibility and governance. Our mission is to help organizations embrace AI with confidence by providing the oversight and evidence needed for responsible adoption."
